Yang Halal Itu Baik, Yang Haram Itu Buruk

Firman Allah S.W.T.:

Al-A'raf-7_157

[Surah al-A’raf, 7: 157]

Nota:

Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write (i.e. Muhammad p.b.u.h.) whom they find written with them in the Taurat (Torah) (Deut, xviii 15) & the Injil (Gospel) (John, xiv 16) with them,[ii] — he commands them for Al-Ma’ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism & all that Islam has ordained); & forbids them from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds, & all that Islam has forbidden); he allows them as lawful At-Tayyibat (i.e. all good & lawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons & foods), & prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khaba’ith (i.e. all evil & unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons & foods), he releases them from their heavy burdens (of Allah’s Covenant with the Children of Israel), & from the fetters (bindings) that were upon them. So those who believe in him (Muhammad p.b.u.h.), honour him, help him, & follow the light (the Qur’an) which has been sent down with him, is they who will be the successful.[iii]

[Surah al-A’raf, 7: 157]

Notes:

[ii] There exists in the Taurat (Torah) & the Injil (Gospel), even after the original text has been distorted, clear prophecies indicating the coming of Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h., e.g. Deut. 18:18; 21:21; Psl. 118:22-23; Isa. 42:1-13; Hab. 3:3-4; Matt. 21:42-43; Jn. 14:12-17, 26-28; 16:7-14.

[iii] 1)

O you who have been given the Scripture (Jews & Christians)! Believe in what We have revealed (to Muhammad p.b.u.h.) confirming what is (already) with you, before We efface faces [by making them (faces) like the backs of the necks; without nose, mouth & eyes], & turn them hindwards, or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath-breakers. And the Commandments of Allah is always executed. (V.4:47).

[iii] 2) See (V.57:28) & its footnote.

O you who believe [in Musa (Moses) (i.e. Jews) & Isa (Jesus) (i.e. Christians)]! Fear Allah, & believe in His Messenger (Muhammad p.b.u.h.), He will give you a double portion of His Mercy, & He will give you a light by which you shall walk (straight). And He will forgive you. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.[a] (V.57:28)

[a] 1)

Narrated Abu Burdah’s father: Allah’s Messenger p.b.u.h. said, “Any man who has a slave-girl whom he educates properly, teaches good manners, manumits & marries her wil get a double reward. And if any man of the people of the Scriptures (Jews & Christians) believes in his own Prophet & then believes in me (Muhammad p.b.u.h.) too, he will (also) get a double reward. And any slave who fulfils his duty to his master & to his Lord (Allah) will (also) get a double reward.” [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 7/5083 (O.P.20)]

[a] 2) It is obligatory to have belief in the Messengership of the Prophet (Muhammad p.b.u.h.).

Narrated Abu Hurairah r.a.: Allah’s Messenger p.b.u.h. said, “By Him (Allah) Whose Hand Muhammad’s soul is, there is none from amongst the Jews & the Christians (of these present nations) who hears about me & then dies without believing in the Message with which I have been sent (i.e. Islamic Monotheism), but he will be from the dwellers of the (Hell) Fire.” [Sahih Muslim, the Book of Faith, Vol.1, Hadith No.153 (S.S.M.20)] See also (V.3:85) & (V.3:116).
